“Photobiomodulation doesn’t do everything, it does one thing really well, it reduces oxidative stress which is common to all diseases”.

James Carroll, Thor Photomedicine

What Is NovoTHOR

NovoTHOR is a whole-body light therapy bed that uses red and near-infrared light to treat injuries, reduce pain, relax muscles/joints, and increase blood circulation. The therapy is called Photobiomodulation and is commonly referred to as PBM.

How Does This Therapy Work

The primary function of the NovoTHOR is to reduce oxidative stress.  Oxidative stress is defined as an imbalance of free radicals and antioxidants in your body.  If your body does not produce enough antioxidants to neutralize the free radicals, it fosters an environment conducive to oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is accepted as the underlying trigger for many diseases and degenerative conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, neurological disorders and pulmonary diseases.

Oxidative stress is also a component in the inflammatory phase of acute and chronic injuries.  Athletes are benefiting from faster recovery, injuries and training as well as increased strength and energy.  In addition to these benefits, clients have reported increased strength, improved mood, sleep, reduced signs of aging and weight loss.

The NovoTHOR advantage is a whole-body delivery system of PBM therapy designed to deliver optimal wavelengths, power densities and dosages based on published clinical research outcomes. In the past two decades, extensive research has been done at MIT and Harvard Medical School to support the effectiveness of PBM therapy.

PBM has been studied in over 500 human trials and 4,000 lab studies. THOR is considered a subject matter expert by researchers, hospitals, and governmental bodies such as US Congress and the UN.

NovoTHOR is the 2016 winner of the Invention of the Year the Elite Sport Rehabilitation expo.  Developed by THOR, in collaboration with Harvard Medical School, English Soccer League, US Military Forces and British Military.
